Hi Tracey,
No problem Mate! You have a very nice (commonly referred to a 2nd Version CAP) actually a 3rd Version CAP which I'm convinced was produced in small batches during WW II - circa 1942/3 -1946. They're not real common and there are two variations of that reel. The first variation of that reel had a lighter bail mechanism and a 28 tooth drag seat on the axel and no primer under the paint - carried over from the previous Version CAP. Yours is the 2nd variation as indicated by the primer under the paint, heavier/more robust bail mechanism and a 20 tooth drag seat on the axel. A very nice old CAP and a great addition to your collection, even though your a "Mitchell Heavy Salt Water" guy . Hope this helps!
