Recovering from theft

Post by Ohio River Ron »

Hey Wallace and everyone. I was an active member on the old site over a decade ago or so. Glad this new site is here but I see a lot of stuff was lost… Anyhow… to make a long story short…my entire collection of 300’s and 304’s were stolen and some other reels. I do not own a single reel at the moment. Starting all over. The good thing is I didn't catch them. Just here to vent until I win a few reels on eBay. The early C.A.P reels were a blow below the belt….

Thanks

Ohio River Ron, Welcome back :text-welcomeconfetti:
What was your old user name? Several of us old timers left from the old days.
Very sorry to hear about your loss of your collection.
Have you decided what you will be focusing on for your new collection? You can still find some good deals out there and let us know what we can do to help.
Kind Regards,
Bill

Greatlaker.. I can’t remember my old username… No surprise because I went through some real health issues.. Im looking for Mitchell C.A.P and early 300’s. I see half bail prices are higher than when I was buying them years ago… I dont think Ill ever regain what I had, but just hope to get my hands on a handful of nice ones again. I went out to AZ for 8 years for work and never bothered fishing. There was no water near me. Moved back to Ohio 3 months ago to retire and thats were my stuff was stolen… Go figure.. Luckily none of my old rods or tackle were taken. Wife missing some things also. Sometimes you cant win for losing.
