Parts ?

Post by Rado »

I just scored a 304 and a 300 in 2 fer deal for about the price of the 304 alone !
Cleaned them up and regressed !
On the 300 looks like I dropped 1 of those tiny pinion shims.
For the life of me can not find it lol. I swear there were 2 there lol But still works fine,
I plan on re cleaning it to see if hidden in the grease
So anyone recommend a good parts supplier ?

Thank you

Rado,
:text-welcomeconfetti: to the Mitchell Reel Museum.
There are several parts dealers on eBay. I know of one of them, Jeff Knight, that has an email of [email protected] .

LOL, You will be surprised what you find in the grease.
Jeff is great.
Kenny is good but shipping from Canada kills ya.
The new guy seems ok.
You can trust all 3.

About three years ago, I sent a Mitchell 301 from Nova Scotia to Southern Illinois, near St Louis. Canada Post charged me $17CDN + change, which I thought was reasonable. A small Mitchell brochure that I sent to Michigan,a couple of months back, was $3 or 4. In my opinion, kennyboy charges too much for shipping and handling.

Bona, What is the Canadian Shipping rates.
I agree with you on the shipping from Kenny.
I thought that was the normal rates.
In lew of the shipping, do not have a bad thing to say about Kenny, his parts have always been great.

It depends on how fast you want the item to get to the destination. The shipments that I mentioned were the basic rate. When I ordered a few parts from Kenny, he combined shipping, but if I recall correctly, there was a handling cost for each additional item. I bought a reel, a reel body and a couple of small parts. This was about 5 years ago.

I am speaking only for Canada Post. Courier rates, I don’t have knowledge there.
