Reels of a former fisherman

Post by Simplex »

Hello
More than twenty years ago, my daughter and my son-in-law bought me at a flea market a wooden box in which there were two Mitchell reels, a 4th model and a 300.
This box has undoubtedly been made very meticulously and by craftsmanship by a fisherman who respects his equipment while protecting it as best as possible. Less risk of the material being damaged in this box than in its cardboard box.
The two reels are still in a very good condition with the two spare spools in the containers.
Best regards,
Christian

Stunning. I’ve so much respect for someone who would make something like this because they obviously felt Mitchell reels were worth it!

Hello,

By posting these pictures I wanted to pay tribute to a person who undoubtedly knew the value of the work of the workers at Mitchell.

Christian,
It is easy to see, that fisherman loved his Mitchells. That is a treasure.

Bon Jour Christian,

That is a well crafted piece. it is nice that you have kept it together and I think this makes a unique collectable. You pay respectful tribute to someone who paid it in kind to Mitchell and it's workforce.

Bien fait

Glen
