Hi everyone,
I recently picked up a really nice Mitchell 300 (3-0-0) with a serial number dating it to 1964, and my question is; what was the time span of that angled style of boomerang AR switch, and is the handle in keeping with a 1964 model; when did the counterweight screw type first appear?
I must say that the handle does seem to match the reel condition wise.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 1964 Mitchell 300 detail confirmation
Rockape,
I believe both the counterweight screw and the A/R changed around 1962. The A/R stayed the same till 1967.

Thank you for answering my question, its good to know that it's all period correct.
Thanks to some very kind and knowledgeable enthusiasts (like yourself) here, I have gained a fair bit of knowledge on the early days of Mitchell reels, which I now have a nice little collection of, but I'm a little more vague on the later (60's) reels; even so, how I missed that redesign on the AR lever I will never know.
Thanks again and all the best,
Paul
