Odd Ball Line Retainer

Mates,

In all my years of being into Mitchells, I've never seen this over a spool. My question is was this made for this , or is it someone's innovation.

It looks as though it is fairly modern silicon item. Perhaps it just happened to fit?


It's a good idea though, the line is safe from dirt and UV light.

Ted, it looks like someone painted a Bearing Buddy bra. The one below is aftermarket so it has no markings.

I think you are right. I thought that I had seen something like that before, but I couldn't nail it down.
