Garcia Mitchell 308 aging

Hi Mitchell Mates, can anyone date my Garcia Mitchell 308? I know they were manufactured from 1959 to 1986. The SN on my reel is 973931 but because the 308 models are not included in the 'dating reels' page and six digit numbers, for the 300/400 ranges at least, are from the mid-fifties I'm a little confused. Any help would be appreciated.
