I have what seems to be an uncommon Mitchell Garcia 408-S ( 1985-1986 ) I know there were only 2,206 made other than that can you give me any other information regarding this reel. The spool has a window that shows what test line is on the spool. It’s in pristine condition no rubs, scratches, dents or dings. All paint is intact and gold on the letters not worn off. I cannot find any information, pictures ect. Anywhere.

All I can say it is a very rare reel. Not the Rarest BUT ranks right up there. People thought it was a ghost reel until credible info came to play. Dennis Roberts, Value Collectors Guide 2006 has it for distribution in the US & Canada. Extremely rare. One of the few reels to have and admire. I have that reel and did have a 408S body that I sold off years ago. No estimate on value due to scarcity and low exchange. I would call it an (Ace in the Hole) .
