I have a Mitchell 300 I bought as a young boy in the early 70s.
SN on bottom shows 6578??? can not make out the last 3, mabe 099
can you tell me anything about this?

to the Mitchell Reel Museum.
According to the "Dating" information on the Museum's home page, A serial number of 6578 and 3 more numbers would have been produced in 1965.
