I watched a video that Wallace Carney posted on YouTube were he was servicing a bail arm on a 300
I noticed he had a little tool that he used to undo the screws. He also had a little tool to bend the latch back in line.
Where can I get these two tools from. I only have the tool that comes with a 600 series multiplier

Hello Mates,
This Mitchell tool kit shown below was offered for sale by Garcia to dealers for service starting in 1955/56. As you can see from the Case Contents list; this kit was for The Mitchell (300), CAP, Otomatic (330) and The Saltwater (302) referred to as "M. MER" for some unknown reason. If anyone knows why, please let us know! Please note that the contents list states "small wooden work board" which is missing from this kit but please note the fifties ad I've shown does not have this board either.

Both of these can be rarely found on eBay and normally sell cheap so start looking

Sorry but I can only have 3 photos per post so this is going to be PART 1. See PART 2 in the next post.
Kind Regards,

Great pictures Bill. Yes, those tools command a big premium. Missed several chances years ago on the bay. Most people improvise and make some tools to suit their needs. Good Luck..........

This Mitchell tool kit shown below was offered for sale by Garcia to dealers for service starting in 1960/61. As you can see from the Case Contents list; this kit was for Mitchell spinning reels being sold by the late fifties however; I find it odd that the 350 "Rapid" is not listed even though it was also being sold! Anyway… I could not find any ads for this tool kit but from the list, it appears to be complete.
