Shims Copper, Brass

Post by allansharkey »

SHIMS, does anyone know about shims, some seems to be copper, some brass. I have a new Mitchell green printed packs 81012 which has brass shims, and some red printed packs 81012 that are copper shims, the red seem to be the more common packs, the less common brass, I have accumulated a mixture of used copper and brass shims and normally use which is best by thickness 0.10, 0.15 or 0.20, Is there a explanation, if so does anyone know, Allan

Allan,
There have been many posts on shims in the new MRM. I suggest you do a search for shims. Here is one I did a while back that might be of interest. :banana-wrench:
