Mates,
Sometimes it's hard to describe things about your Mitchell 300 reel when posting because you either don't know or can't remember what the name of the part is. Here are three schematics that show the major internal parts, and their names from a Mitchell 300 fourth version (circa 1951-1955). Hope this is helpful.
I'll post the external parts and their names in my next post.
Kind Regards,
Bill :)

Hello,
In addition to Bill's diagrams, herewith is the drawing accompanying the text published in a French fishing magazine in May 1958: the kinematics of the Mitchell reel compared to the usual kinematics of the vast majority of spinning reels.
Looks,

Hello Bill and Christian,

Nice diagrams and easy to understand for the novice. Here's a pretty one on the new Mitchell 300A 8 gear drive circa 1977.

There is a mistake on this diagram. Can you spot it?

Isn't this fun :text-coolphotos:

The handle crank shaft is spun 180 degrees, so the grip is not seated against the flat side of the shaft end.

Hello,
Attached photo of the exploded view of a full-size Mitchell 300.
Reel serial number 693307.
I made this presentation a few years ago, the colors of the exploded view on paper have faded a little through the light exposure
Best regards,
CL
