What does the A stand for in a 306A

I know I've seen what the letter after the number means can somebody refresh my mind thanks Mark
From my understanding reading Dennis Robert's Value Guide, it has something to with the anti-reverse mechanism. Probably silent reverse. More knowledgeable people should know..........
