Term	Definition
X Kits	Starting in 1959/1960 Garcia made up Mitchell 300 reel kits with special packaging called the Mitchell 300X on the box only. The Letter X stood for X-tra parts. Garcia later expanded these to other models. For more information see Garcia Kits in our Gallery.

X Suffix	Starting in the late nineties Mitchell made an attempt to bring back the good old Mitchell by using old model numbers followed by the letter X. Due to quality issues, it didn’t work.
