| Rapid | Rapid was engraved on the first High Speed (5:1) 300 series reel. The first issue did not have a model number but just Mitchell Rapid. This reel soon became the 350 5/1 in 1957. |
| RD Suffix | Term used on Mitchell reels with an adjustable Rear Drag. |

| RK Kits | Starting in 1953/1954 Garcia made up Mitchell 300 rod and reel kits with special packaging. These kits also included many other items such as lures, fishing line, grease and much more. Garcia soon expanded these to other models. For more information see Garcia Kits in our Gallery. |
