| Forked Foot | In 1968 Mitchell started producing the Mitchell series with a modified “Forked” foot starting with the 510; a modified 410. They later produced the 508 (408), 500 (300), 524 (324) and the 540 (440) with this same foot. A special rod was also made to accept the reels. The first evidence of a Special wedge emblem was on the early versions of this rod. No left hand (LH) versions of these reels are known to exist.
