The original first version was made by Mitchell France for exclusive sale by Le Bazaar de L’Hotel de Ville in the early sixties. The first nine (9) pictures shows this first version with serial number 1561901 on the reel's foot and the matching box. This reel was designed after the Mitchell 314 CAP called "Super CAP" by most Mitchell collectors. They utilized the word "Super" in this model and engraved her "Super BHV" without the 314.

Just how many and to whom they were made is unclear but definitely a very limited production. The one shown was purchased from the original owner who worked at the hotel and was one of his retirement gifts. The first versions were only sold in France and as you can see, export on this reel was prohibited at the time.

Due to popular demand a second release was made for export marked by a green handle knob for easy identification. In pictures 10, 11 and 12 you will see this 2nd release with serial number 192?1?0 on the foot. The 3rd and last release shown in pictures 13, 14 and 15 with serial number 2821055 still has the green handle knob but a green drag adjustment knob as well but beware, knobs can easily be changed! You will also see the cover plate screw heads have also changed on the last release.
