Otto Gumprich, seated at far right, was President of Charles Garcia and Company in New York, and is seen here reviewing Garcia marketing literature with Eugene Felton, Vice President of Garcia Advertising at left, and Harry Miller, Vice President of Garcia Sales at center. It was Otto's brother, Jules Gumprich from Ets. Impecco France, who sent samples of the Mitchell spinning reel to Charles Garcia and Company in the early 1940's. In 1947, Thomas T. Lenk would develop a marketing strategy for this new and innovative spinning reel and by 1949 it would become the company's sole product and focus. Ets. Impecco France was the exclusive sales agent for Mitchell reels for Carpano & Pons and Impecco Ltd. USA would be formed in 1954 to exclusively facilitate the purchasing and importation of Mitchell reels for The Garcia Corporation in the U.S. DDS
