Rockape52,
I think you were lucky to find someone that had a copy of the schematic you needed since most of the mates here are into the older model Mitchells. It must have been an owner of one, since I did take a look on the net and couldn't find even one.
By the way :text-welcomewave: to the Mitchell Reel Museum.

Lucky I guess was looking on eBay and managed to pick one up for £16 . It arrived and looks like it has had little use. The only thing was a shim was missing which I have sorted and it’s a smooth reel for its age . You can still get parts for them but from Italy or France.

Rockape52,
I've seen a lot of pictures of the Quartz 330 Gold, but that one I hadn't seen that much of. Were they just sold in France/England? I can't understand quartz in watches, but in fishing reels? :?

I have no idea if this type of 330 was sold in France or the Uk only. As for quartz in the reel think this was just a name for the reel. I think it’s a smart and very functional reel for float fishing as for feeder fishing the concept spool must be an aluminium alloy with a line stop on it. Will need to do research on it.

Hello,
The Quartz reel series is on the catalog (sea 3
photos) and on the Service After Sale of 1997.
These reels were sold in France. In UK I don't know.
A K7 advertising video intended for sellers was also distributed the same year (photo attached of this K7 that I have): advertisement of about two minutes running in a loop over the duration of the tape.
The first photo: "97 Fishing enters the Quartz era - With Line Control a secret weapon emerges from the shadows"
Second photo: "Quartz technology" with explanation of the Line Control system
Third photo: "The Quartz range 6 reels to satisfy all types of fishing"
This is all I can say about the Quartz series
Best regards,
Christian
PS: on the last page of the catalog the list of distributors in the World, for the USA: JWA 1936 Willow Road STURTEVANTWI 53177
