A friend of mine, use to tell me how he would go over to Garcia here in NJ and he would buy a bunch of the Conolon rods that were sold as seconds. They were real cheap, but I do not remember what he said that hey went for, then he would go to flea markets and sell them for 2 to 3 times what he paid for them and sell out real fast.

Syd,
Being a Fenwick collector. I have to say, I love the Conolon I built. It is a little too long, for the stream I fish. I just got a 6' Conolon blank, going to cut it to 5 1/2'. All the components are here, hoping to get out with it next week. After the bad weather coming and before the freeze. :tup

May your lines always be tight, Don

Finished the 2nd Conolon rod vintage blank. It's a 5 1/2' very fast action. Fiji guides rapid reduction guide train, 8 guides including the tiptop. 8" cork handle that actually looks natural, with a Fiji vss lock down reel seat. Of course a Mitchell reel (204 for now). Rig casts real sweet. Looks like it's going to be a nice day here Wednesday we'll be fishing.
If anyone knows of any Conolon blanks, for a reasonable price please contact me.
