Hello, new guy here, I have a 308 with no serial #, nor provision for a plate, but an engraved patent number (under the spool).
Made in France (engraved).

Maybe its a pilot model??
I can provide the patent number if anybody has a clue about this reel.

I'm curious as to what I have. (not for sale!)

Thank you, -Kirk

Greetings Kirk_Ingram,

Welcome to the Mitchell ReelMuseum!

I'm not an expert in 308 reels, but I believe that most of them were stamped on the reel foot.

If you can postsome pictures, sized to 850 pixels or less, from your computer, it would be easier to tell what you have.

You can use the "upload attachment" feature located right below the posting area.

Regards,
Ted Lanham

I found the serial # on the foot, like you suggested.

690597, it's very faint, hard to read. Looks like a 1966 model according to this site.

Thank you for your help,
-Kirk
