What is the spool size of a 402 VS a 302? Larger, smaller the same?

Greetings abelltech,
Welcome to the Mitchell Reel Museum.

The 302 and 402 spools are the same size.

I think they are interchangeable.

Regards,
Ted Lanham

[glow][/glow]then what is the difference between a 402 & a 302 other than the knob on the handle and the color?

abelltech,
The big thing is that 402 has a faster gear ratio than the 302.
You can check out the "Gallery" where there are advertisements for both reels that cover all the details.

Regards,

Ted Lanham
