Could you please tell me the difference between the 402 and the 403 and will the parts interchange ?

Welcome to this site. Main difference is right or left hand cranking as reel is below the pole. Most parts are interchangeable except for gears, rotors, spools and handle. If you have a parts diagram the left hand aka 403 is highlighted in red and have off numbers at the end of numbers. Hopes this helps.
