Hello Mates,

Yesterday I received this very hard to find Mitchell 315 with a Gold and Black ARCA sticker on the Rotor Cup. Mitchell 315's are hard to find as it is, but this is the first one I have ever seen with this particular ARCA sticker on it. I believe that it pre-dates the engraved ARCA reels much like the Red and Yellow Albatros stickers predated the engraved Albatros reels. The later ARCA reels had a small rectangular Silver and Black ARCA sticker on them and I have several examples of those. It's a very nice, lightly used reel, Ser# 0726799 and I believe around 1960.

So here's what is very interesting - upon closer inspection there is "RVBA" stamped in the upper left hand corner of the sticker. I have attempted to capture it in this photo.

This is clearly a machine stamp and not something done by hand but not only have I never seen this particular sticker before, I certainly have never seen anything like this additional marking on any sticker. Possibly a specific distribution point in Belgium? :sCo_hmmthink:

Have any of you seen this before? I would be very interested in you thoughts and opinions.

Regards,
Chris
