Hi Alan

Where the actual name Mitchell Mates was first used and who thought of it, I'm not sure.

Early in 2009 Wallace and I were talking on the phone one night and he suggested an open discussion forum so that people could share their knowledge and help others with questions. So here we are.

Hi Dennis, thanks for the kind words mate, I'm glad that you are enjoying it.

Kind regards Roy

I'm happy to have found it...a tremendous resource.

We do seem to have it better than the afficiandos of other reel producers...google searches leading to Ebay's shill sites and little else.

This site has been a wealth of information for me. I look forward to purchasing one of Wallace's books from the store just as soon as I stop blowing all of my free money on Mitchell reels LOL

Love the site for its information but most of all the people who subscribe to the forum and are willing to help you out no matter how far the distance. I especially thank Ken Simon all the way out in Hawaii who helped me out with my Mitchell 441A. Never thought I would actually get that reel together again
