This short clip is about a fishing expedition to Great Bear Lake Lodge hosted by Garcia and Seagrams Distillers in what appears to be 1965. Its a captivating view of life and times when this lake was just being discovered by anglers worldwide. The narration alone will make you want to watch this over and over again. Besides the Grayling, Char and Arctic Trout shown in this film; Pike fishing is now a popular sport.

Great Bear Lake, the 4th largest lake in North America, was named The #1 Fishing Destination in North America by Field & Stream magazine this year! The Great Bear Lodge shown in this film has fallen in decay but the good news is Plummer's Arctic Lodges http://plummerslodges.com/ is still there. One of their five Arctic lodges is on Great Bear Lake.

:sSig_thankyou: Wallace for preserving and posting this movie. It's been a couple years since I saw it and it never gets old. The film reminds me of when I was about 10 years old, My Dad used to take us kids, four boys, to see the films and meet the actors of the adventure films when they came to town. Mostly hunting and some fishing. The audience would gasp every time a big fish was hauled in. Takes me back to a simpler time. Thank You.

Randy
