Hi,
Just to share a Russian LEMZ I have in my collection, a copy of the Mitchell 320/324
It's still new, with the box and paperwork.

One more picture of the later LEMZ model
And a picture of the first LEMZ model that looked exactly like the Mitchell 320 (all black, body shape, etc).
Later on they changed the model and colours
In total there are about 4 different from this series that are based on the 320 model
For the moment I only have the one with the box in my collection, the other pictures
are reels I used to have but traded, I only have the pics left in b/w

Thanks Jean-Paul, I have never heard of this one before.
It amazes me just how many look-alikes were produced and shows the huge impact that Mitchell had on the reel world.

Kind regards Roy

Hi,
I once wrote an article on Russian spinning reels for the Dutch Anglins collectors associations magazine.
The article is in Dutch but there are a few more pics of Russian copy reels, amongst them is also
a Bretton and a Shakespeare Sigma copy
Scroll to page 30 (of 36) to see them

Kind regards,
Jean-Paul

Thanks again Jean-Paul, with the aid of a goggle translator I have read some of your article, fascinating and so much information.

I'm off now to translate the rest of it.

Kind regards Roy

Here's the Russian DAM forum on a topic of lot's and lot's of Russian reels, don't understand a word (well I do get some of the names..)
but you can look at the pictures (3 pages). You will see copies of Mitchell, Bretton, Shakespeare, etc..

While looking at the reel it is actually a Mitchell 303 copy. The handle is a right hand crank making it a left hand reel. First left hand Mitchell copy I have ever seen. With a PUM to boot. Nice catch.........
