does anyone have any information about a copy cat reel called a Crestline? I do not have it my possession but will try to get pictures to post. It looks exactly like a Mitchell 300.

Greetings cdwales,

Welcome to the Mitchell Reel Museum.

I have seen many of the Mitchell copies over the years, but can't recall a Crestline, so a few pics posted would be appreciated.

Regards,

Ted Lanham

Hey Mates,

Hmm :sAni_fish:. I see there was recently an auction of a Crestline, titled:
VINTAGE RARE CRESTLINE SPINNING REEL IN BOX COPY CAT OF A MITCHELL 300

Clearly a knockoff. View images in the link (above) while they last. I do not post those images here due to copyright restrictions.

cdwales,

I'll see if I can find out more, in addition to what you may have to post.

John

Very close from the outer side. The spare spool and drag nut end are different. Not bad for the money. I would take it apart and examine the insides to see the differences......
