Could you please post a picture of that reel ?
Do you have the box and paperwork ?

I have a list of different Japanese Mitchell copies, in that list there is a "THALCO 59", but I do not have a picture.

Based on other documantation of other Japanese Mitchell copies I would guess the following :
- additional (type-)numbers to the names of these reels like the "59" sometimes were only mentioned on the box or paperwork, not always on the reel
- the number mostly has no meaning at all, but sometimes it referred to the year of introduction, in this case it COULD refer to the year 1959 (but this is not sure)

Hi JP, I only have the reel it looks like a 300 with boomerang AR lever, spring handle, bail and trip lever.
The drag knob is quiet different though. I will try to post a photo if I can. Haven't done this before so may take a while.
Cheers Colin
