Hello Dries,

Can you give the model number? I have a few in storage 15 miles inland but some are labeled Gold Bond, can't remember. I did talk with another who says he has a Companion with sock and tube, all matching model number stickers as advertised he may be selling soon.

Regards,
Wallace

the numbers on the sock and tube match the rod.this rod is listed in the 1956 garcia tackle catalog as(new) that

interested click on the interact link to the left to make contact, then click message me. best wishes doug

Hi Dries and Doug,

I've enjoyed watching this so much I think about adding a "Classified" section here?!!? What do others think about this?

Please never give your private email address in any post. Contact each other by clicking on "Interact" to the left under the person's name and then click on Message Me to send an instant message. You can then privately exchange email addresses, phone numbers and addresses there which are hidden from all others including moderators.

Good Luck, let us know how this turns out?

Regards,
Wallace

Hi Wallace
For what it's worth I think a "Classified Section" is a good idea, lets face it Mates will but from Mates, always have, always will.
I can see no problem with this but as you say all negotiations do need to be done privately by clicking on the "Interact" button.

It will be interesting to hear from others on this.

Regards to all, Roy

Hi ,

Finally after some customs delay I got the rod .Very nice condition .
This is my first Garcia conolon rod and a good one to compare it with the European ones .(alpha -special and expert series)
