I need a main drive gear for a 908. I believe that the 308a gear is the same.

Thanks.

Hello Balvar24Welcome to the Mitchell Museum :sSig_welcome2:

You are looking for part number 82793 and you are correct that it is the same gear that goes in the 308A. Unfortunately, I don't have one of these gears but you may have some luck looking on eBay - there are a few very reliable Mitchell parts sellers on there who may be able to help you out.

Regards,
Chris

That'd be the part.

I've been watching for a gear to come up.

In the mean time, I'm going to try to use some 2-part industrial epoxy (sounds better than JB Weld) to remedy my issue, albeit probably a temporary fix.

Balvar24,
I thought these were brass, but I got this one out of a 308A.
Does this look right?

The one that I have is brass. Curious. The parts schematics list the same part numbers for each reel.

Balvar24,
I did a search on the web after I posted this picture, and found some of brass and some of aluminum. :sCo_hmmthink:

Balvar24,
Well, if you decide that this one will work, I can make it happen.
