I have a fair number of old stock (new) Mitchell reel parts available.

I also have a number of spools ,for various models available. Fix spool, revolving spool & fly reel models.

Any one needing any part. Please send a message with part # and reel model.

May be I can help some one, with old vintage parts.

Hey Fritz, Welcome to our group :tup

Can you post a list of what Mitchell parts you have? I'm certain that would help you sell these rare parts. In case you don't know, you can go to http://mitchellreelmuseum.com/index.php?option=com_parts&Itemid=66 and enter the part number and it will tell you what it is and what reels it fits.

Regards,
Wallace

Wallace thanks for the welcome.

I am actually a serious reel collector and specially ABU reels

I have bought all parts left in the store of the previous agent for Mitchell reels, some 18 years ago and have a reasonable amount of parts. Mostly the stuff that is normally not needed to replace.

I do have Mitchell schematic's books on these older model reels and where a part number came with the parts. I am able to identify them.

How ever a fair number of parts came without part numbers and they are the difficult ones .

Another problem is that on some frames its not so ease to deside if they are for left or right hand wind model reels. In the one book Mitchell list them as left hand and in the next book the same part number is listed as the right hand model ?

I tired to load a list that I have so far made but am unable to load either Excel or PDF file

Can you convert the PDF to JPG? If not email it to me and I'll convert it for you.

I am not sure if the 756 spool will fit the 752 reel.

On my schematic there is a different part number for both spools:
752 is 82310 in a newer book I have. It show that this part is, for the models 752 & 754 reels.
756 is 82311 in a newer book I have. It show that this part is, for the models 756 & 758 reels.

I check my stock and found 2 x spools part # 82310

Send me a mail to fritzanglers@gmail.com then I can how much the shipping cost will be and we can work out a suitable cost?

Hi!

I am a new member, but have old reels... One of them is a 306 that works perfect except for the roller guide (81476) You shouldn`t happen to have one for me..?

Best regards from Kjetil:-)

I don't have any currently.

Though it has been discussed previously that this design could jam the roller...making it essentially a large diameter line guide.

Crud build up could do it, but if the bail thread were cut too deep on the wire, the bail nut would travel too far and jam the roller.

I later years, this issue was dealt with in misc ways when other reels got line rollers, but the gist was that a tight bail wire screw, or nut, could not jam the roller.

So, first ensure that everything is clean, then try it. If that doesn't work, you can either try to get a roller that was made shortly shorter, or a bail wire where the thread wasn't cut so deep. You still might only get a roller that moves with line pressure.

Really, they only seemed to solve the problem for the 306 on the 1988 schematic.

Compare it to the earlier ones...bail wire is the same part number on all of them.

Kjetil glad you found a part. I still have many of 81476 if you need more in future. If you can please check for me and see if they are infact correct. I have mailed you some photo's with the sizes
