Hi Mates,

I just added this book to my Mitchell reference library as I had never seen one before.

A nice addition since it's #3 of 100 published and it supported the Mitchell Museum at the time of original purchase. It's also in mint condition.

This book contains the complete 80,000 series part numbers with listings of all the Mitchell reels the particular part would fit as well as the material the part was manufactured from, packaging and original price from 1992/93.

This book is a treasure of information and certainly makes it easy to cross-reference. Much better than searching schematics to find which part may fit another reel. If any Mates out there need assistance cross-referencing 80,000 series parts, drop me a PM and I would be happy to help out with the information you need.

Regards,
Chris

Hi James,

Thank you for the response and you're right this book is a treasure. Wallace has done a wonderful service to all of us in his research, sharing the fruits of his labor with us and providing a great forum for we enthusiasts to exchange information and ideas. I also have and refer to his "The Mitchell Classic 300 Spinning Reel" book but are there others? I wasn't aware of the Genuine Spare Parts List until a fellow collector brought it to my attention - a very nice addition to my reference library. We are both fortunate to have one as they are so hard to find.

Best Regards,
Chris
