Estate sale 308

I recently ran across a Mitchell 308at an estate sale for dollar on a ultralight rod. Where are the serial numbers located on the 308.It has a US patent number on it and a number 5.I intend on fishing with it .thanks in advance

I'd say you did EXCELLENT on that outfit. Where did you look for the reel serial number?? On the foot underneath is the number. You may have to clean some crud off. Plus, a little talcum powder in the numbers will make it easier to see. Mitchells were made in France and I'm unaware of US patents on that reel. Maximum of 800 megapixels to post pictures here..............
