I recently inherited a Michell 7730 graphite reel. It seems to be in used but serviceable condition. I'd love to get my mits on even a scanned copy of the manual, but I'd settle for instruction on how to switch the reel from wrong handed to lefty ;-)

Thanks in advance for any help anyone is willing to offer.

Greetings stradageezer,
Welcome to the Mitchell Reel Museum.
Have to admit that might be difficult getting information on a newer fly reel from the folks on this site.

Have you tried contacting Mitchell's website? This should be the link http://www.mitchellfishing.com/ .

Regards,
Ted Lanham

Hello,

If I understood your question, you want to know how to go from right-handed to left-handed and vice versa.

Just unscrew the central screw (see arrow on the picture) and turn the guide wire.

Progressive adjustment by step
Best regards

Laroupane,
Thanks for taking the time to help stradageezer out. Since his reel was more recent than the 1980s, I thought it might be tough to get an answer. :sHa_rollingsmilie:
