Hi guys. I have a vintage 300 with a bail wire that has no bends or defects, but the chrome plating is in really bad shape. It is beyond polishing. Can I have it replated somewhere? If not, is there somewhere with NOS wires?

Greeting lovinia,
Welcome to the forum. :banana
It may be a bit difficult to find a spanking new 300 bail since there have been many replaced since they stopped production, and I wouldn't even consider chrome plating unless I owned the operation.
What I would do is either check over the used bails very closely, or buy one of the cheaper complete reels that have a nice bail and a beaten body off ebay. You'd get a bail plus spare parts for use later.
There are a lot of them, but pay close attention to shipping charges. Some are quite high.
Regards,
Ted Lanham
