Is there any way of salvaging a bent bail wire? And still maintain the integrity? I have this 300 and a 441A in much worse shape.
The 441 I have never given much thought too it was just the first one I grabbed for comparison and seen how bad off it was.
or should i just quit being cheap and spend the 10 bucks for replacements?

In my experience, you will never be able to put it back the way it was. That reel looks so good, spend the ten bucks :-)

Hi nt4humnuse,

I agree with Wallace. That's like a "compound fracture" :eek of the bail. Other than light adjustment to put them back into the original hoop, it's probably best to just buy a new one. The exception, in my opinion would be an early version of the half bail CAP, Mitchell or Salt Water - Those you just leave alone :sHa_okay:

Regards,
Chris

I would spend the money also. A new wire will make difference!
