Well, that's good!

You'll get used to going right to the usual problem areas if you work on enough reels. Expected wear areas that cause issues, stuff that's often put back together wrong and etc. Given the style of engineering, slight, careful, bending is often the fix.

Ebay is very hit and miss...use caution with any seller who just sells stuff they acquire, though even fishing orientated re-sellers can often know nothing about vintage gear.

Though there are some advantages...often stuff listed as non-working sometimes doesn't take much to fix.
