For years I have given a rod & Mitchell reel away, at a kid's trout rodeo near me in April. This year I started building rods, so the give-a-way this year will be a custom combo rod & reel. I plan on giving 3 away, thanks to a friend and long time builder donating blanks. Thought I'd show the 1st I painted It's paired with a 204. The others will have a 300, like I had as a kid.

don309,
I'm sure that any kid would be proud to have that outfit. Beautiful job on the rod, too.

Regards,

Hi don309, Nice job on the rod and I'm sure paired with the 204 it's going to make a great outfit. Hopefully you can bring some youngster over from the dark side and make a Mitchell mate out of them , and a new member of the forum. Keep your lines tight John in Pa. :sCh_fisherman:

Hi don309,

I admire your continued generosity and desire to give these nice items to kids at your local trout rodeo. Hopefully, a kid(s) will one day tap you on the sholder to show you a state record trout caught on one of your gifted rigs.

Best wishes, Dennis2149
