Hello everyone! I recently discovered your site and found it to be very informative.

I've seen a couple mentions of Bill Arp here. He was my sister's brother-in-law (or my brother-in-law's brother). I knew him for over 40 years. He was an extremely nice guy and, as many of you know, a passionate Mitchell collector.

I am currently in the process of cleaning and lubing an old Mitchell 622 that belongs to another brother-in-law. I will post a report and pics when it's complete. I may have some questions along the way as well.

Thanks,
Bob

Hello Bob,

Bill Arp was a very close friend and so is Barbara. I was there with them near the end. I also have many things that Bill had in his collection. Bill and I traded a lot!

Let us know if we can help on the 622...

Kind Regards,
Wallace

Smead and Wallace,

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Wallace,

As you know, Bill was a great guy. I didn't get to see him all that often. Occasionally at family functions and, of course, weddings and funerals. Years ago I would spend time with him at the Suffern, NY Fishing Expo where he had a table for years.

Each time I saw him the subject would naturally turn to fishing. We would talk about how we would get together and go fishing for smallies. Unfortunately, in all the time I knew him I never had the chance to fish with him. The best laid plans of mice and men, I guess.

Anyway, it was good reminiscing about Bill. The next time you see Barbara, tell her Marilyn's brother, Bob, says hello and that I hope she's doing well.
