My 1st 3rd version, that I believe is all original.
When cleaning noticed an Aluminum Drag Knob. 1st I have come across. When did they start making the drag knobs out of plastic?

Mike DiMatteo wrote that he believed the drag adjuster changed to plastic in 1952 in his article " Is a spool just a spool? Not to the collector"

With all spools being interchangeable it's hard to be certain. I have several full bails, in their boxes, with both spools having aluminium adjusters....maybe both were made at the same time?

Thanks, I have a number of full bail from the early 50's and all had plastic adjuster knobs.
