Just new to the site thought some might be interested in my CAP 304 possibly a first generation ~ was fishing 40+ years ago and got snagged upon reeling in thought I had a branch however it was a Mitchell CAP 403
Used it for many years & still do after some repairs ( axle & slide) it has brought in plenty of big fresh water fish ~ bad design on nylon slider. However there it is
Any one need spools for this type of reel ~ my parts man ( I do all my reel repairs) has some

Thanks Roy ~ with the origins of the reel in France ~ where did the Mitchell name come from? ~ it's very "anglo" to say the least ` was it to market the reel to UK or N.American market. Strange to be sure
