I purchased a Mitchell 300 in 1967, used her for years, caught alot of fish, but can not remember having her apart, just greased .
Still was ticking.
Yesterday I took it apart and was like one of these I hate to get.
Transfer gear was trashed, shaft nasty, packed with old B-52 Red Grease.
So cleaned every thing, replaced all trashed parts, relubed.
Put Her back on original Rod and down to the lake.
Tested and works like new.
I am ashamed of myself for not doing it sooner.
Would guess my old friend is happy!!!!!!!!!!
Infact caught a 10# Channel Cat on second cast.
Back to Life!
