Repairing my Reels

Post by piscesman »

Well, I finally cleaned my reel servicing desk downstairs to prep my reels for the upcoming season. Once all the "trash" was removed I discovered reels I had taken apart but never reassembled. 3 reel bodies, 3 rotors, 4 baffles with 3 of different design and scattered parts. I have 2 Mitchell 351 5/1 reels and one is apart with paint gone. Never could read the serial number on the foot. On top of that my regular fishing reels salt and fresh water must be done before usage. Labor of love. I also found a 403 and 302 apart in separate cardboard boxes. Down the road servicing. Putting the proper shims back in on all those reels is going to be fun.........
