Notice anything unusual about this handle?

You may have heard that at first the screw-on counter weight did not have the notch in the end but have you ever seen one? If not here is what they looked like without the notch. This one was sold as a "Special Handle Catalog No. 816 (Code #9221)" and came with it's own box.

Those boxes were all marked special. I'm staring at a Special Handle Cat. 849-L L.H. with red box. CODE- 9224. It is a high-speed handle and has the notch in the end.
